Robertson, 66, a retired sergeant with the Metropolitan Police Department, died of a heart attack May 25, 1993, at Alexandria Hospital. A resident of Alexandria, Robertson was born in Wilson Creek. He served in the Navy in the Pacific in World War II. He was a goal miner in Pennsylvania before moving to the Washington area in 1956 and joining the police department. He retired in 1976. Robertson was a member of the Association of Retired Policemen of D.C., Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7327 in Springfield and the parish of Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Alexandria. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Josephine C. Robertson of Alexandria; two children, Robert G. Robertson of Alexandria and Judith Barnett of Baton Rouge, La; his mother, Lavisa Robertson of Jennerstown; five sisters: Margaret G. Coulter of Alexandria, Delores Shaffer of Jennerstown, Lelia Trice of Fredericksburg, Va., Carol Poltrack of Johnstown, and Diane Bock of Huntingdon; three brothers: Harry W. Robertson of Vass, N.C.; Robert G. Robertson of Sipesville, and Edgar E. Robertson of Palm City, Fla, and two grandchildren. Daily American, June 4, 1993 [R741]
