Robes, 73, beloved husband of Irene (Volinsky) Robes of King's Mountain, formerly of Munhall, passed on March 15, 2002, at Somerset Hospital. Born July 21, 1928 Homestead, son of the late Peter and Anna (Zupatic), Robas. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Victor and Albert Robes. Survived by wife of 53 years, Irene Florence (Volinsky) Robes; sons, Allan, married to Terri, Robes of Dallas, Texas, and Richard married to Tina, Robes of Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren Cassandra and Landon Robes, also of Summerville; sisters, Frances Marotto, Dorothy Hritz and Kitty Sutch; and brothers, George, Elmer, Kenny and Jack Robes. He was a retired roller for U.S. Steel in Homestead and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Member of the Homeville Volunteer Fire Co. 1; Somerset VFW Post 554; Somerset American Legion Post 279; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1801 and the Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association. He enjoyed picking mushrooms in the woods. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at St. Peter's Church, Somerset Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli, celebrant. Interment private Please omit flowers.
