GERTRUDE A. ROBESON

  Mrs. Gertrude A. Robeson, wife of Howard Robeson, Avilton, Md., died at her 
home Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10:15 a.m.  She was 64 years of age and was the 
daughter of the late Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Hutzel) McKenzie.  Besides her 
husband she is survived by the following daughters: Mrs. Argyle Edwards, 
Frostburg; Mrs. Randall Hollada, Grantsville; Mrs. John A. Wedge, Boynton; Mrs. 
Agnes May, Baltimore; and one son, Pvt. Cornell J. Robeson, who recently 
received his honorable discharge after serving three years in the U.S. Army, two 
of which were spent overseas.  She also leaves eight grandchildren.
  Mrs. Robeson was a lifelong member of St. Anne's Catholic Church of Avilton.  
She will be greatly missed in the community.  Funeral services were held in St. 
Anne's Church, Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with her pastor, Father David, 
officiating.  Interment was made in the Avilton Cemetery, in charge of William 
Winterberg, mortician, of Grantsville.
