Born Dec 5, 1911, in Valley Bend, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Monroe and Susan (Talbott) Robinson. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Salome Lint, whom he married Oct. 10, 1947 and died Dec. 9, 1996 after 54 years of marriage, and brothers: Lorlin, Darl, Forrest, Robert and Ralph. Although childless, Robinson is survived by numerous nephews and nieces as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dean and Jean Bailey, and Earl and Mabelle Lint, and sister-in-laws: Betty Letcher and Kathryn Smith, all of Somerset. A loving husband and generous man, he will be missed by his many relatives. Robinson was graduated from Confluence High School in 1929 and then earned his AB from West Virginia University in 1933. He joined the Armed Services in March of 1942 and served with the 8th Air Force, 35th Air Depot Group, being honorably discharged Oct. 31, 1945. He then joined Matthews Company, where he was an assistant treasurer and secretary until his retirement in 1973. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, with the Rev. Glenn E. Sadkr officiating.
