All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ EMMA RODAMER Mrs. John Rodamer of West Salisbury, who before her marriage, was Miss Emma Jane Thomas, died in the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md., March 6, 1940, aged 59 years, 6 months and 18 days. Her death was caused by a complication of diseases, including kidney disease, dropsy, and a congested condition of one of her lungs shortly before she died. She was taken to the hospital some weeks before she died, and everything possible was done to save her life, but to no avail. She was a daughter of Abraham and Mary Jones Thomas, both deceased. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and two sons, Miss Mary Rodamer of Clinton, N.J., Mrs. Irene Spencer of Hopewell, N.J., William H. Rodamer of Lewistown, Pa., and James T. Rodamer of Bellmeade, N.J., also by one sister and five brothers, namely, Mrs. Lilly Romesburg of Salisbury, William H. Thomas of Garrett, John A., and George E. Thomas of Berlin, Frank C. Thomas of West Salisbury, and Joseph Thomas, of Detroit, Mich. Funeral service was held at the Salisbury M.E. Church, of which Mrs. Rodamer was a member, conducted by Rev. H. Carl Buterbaugh of Meyersdale. The burial arrangement was in charge of Stanley M. Thomas of Salisbury, with interment in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, March 14, 1940
