Rodger, 67, of Middletown, Md., died Dec. 7, 1994, at Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Va. Husband of Jenny Lou (Kiddell) Rodger, whom he married on Nov. 6, 1949. Rodger served as a Seabee aboard the aircraft carrier, the USS Antietam during World War II. Employed as a construction superintendent and a member of U.B.C.& J. of A. Carpenter Local 132. Rodger was lifelong member of Hooversville Christian Church. A 32nd degree Mason affiliated with Masonic Lodge 358, Somerset, and a member of the Tall Cedars, Lebanon, Westmoreland Lodge 77. Surviving beside his wife are 3 daughters: Linda Lucille Brown and her husband Barry, Frederick, Md.; Kathryn Louise DeLaquil and her husband Michael, of Middletown, Md.; Dorcas Lynette Mella and her husband Terry, Oakton, Va.; 6 grandchildren: Bethany Lynn Brown, Sarah Ann Brown, Nicole Renee DeLaquil, Courtney Renee DeLaquil, Matthew Rodger Mella and Heather Lynette Mella, all living at home: 1 sister, Emma Jane Zimmerman, and husband Fred of Manheim; 3 sisters-in-law: Georgianna Zimmerman, Stoystown; Lois Coleman (wife of Edward of Ligonier); Linda Dawson of Amenia, N.Y.; 2 brothers-in-law, Paul Roth, Souderton, and Frank Riddell, Boise, Idaho, and many nieces and nephews. Rodgers was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Lucille (Rodger) Roth. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday At the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md. Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. R. Dallas Greene officiating. Interment and graveside services will be held Monday in the IOOF Cemetery, Stoystown, with the Rev. Danny Kesner officiating. Daily American, December 9, 1994 [R824]
