  MARY E. ROMAN 
  
  Mary E. Roman, 84, Johnstown RD 1, formerly of Scalp Level, died July
  15, 1980.  She was born Aug. 15, 1895, in Czechoslovakia, daughter of
  John and Mary (Demko) Chura.  She was preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Steve Roman, who died Jan. 20, 1961; son, Stephen Jr.;
  sister, Susan; and brother, John.  She is survived by these children:
  Agnes, wife of Glen Lautenbacher, with whom she resided on Benshoff
  Hill: Mary, wife of John Bulik, Scalp Level; Ann, wife of Thomas
  Galvin, Scalp Level; John, married to former Helen Homer, Westlake,
  Ohio; Andrew, married to former Caroline Hritz, Scalp Level;
  Magdalene, wife of Harry M. Kornprobst, Benshoff Hill; and Irene,
  wife of Steve Presjack, Florida; also 17 grandchildren and 15
  great-grandchildren.  She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius'
  Rosary Society and St. Mary's Society Lodge 24.  Friends were received
  at Henry Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber.  A mass of Christian Burial will
  be celebrated at SS. Cyril and Methodius' Catholic Church, Windber,
  the Rev. Richard Hovanec.  Interment, St. John Cantius' Cemetery.
