Romesberg, 77, of Garrett, died May 7, 1999 in Somerset Hospital. He was born May 26, 1921 in Black Twp., a son of the late Samuel D. and Florence Edna (Cummings) Romesberg. He is survived by his widow Minnie (Sechler) Romesberg and these children: Daniel R. of Pittsburgh, Sharon Colardo of Harrisburg, Colleen Ciavola of New Town Square, Pa. and Linda Romesberg of Somerset, and 5 grandchildren. He was a brother of Bert Romesberg of Arizona, Lyle Romesberg and Joy Harril both of Johnstown, D. Lynn Romesberg of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Jayne Cole of Ohio. He was a member of the Blackfield Union Church. Veteran of World War II with the rank of corporal having served 360th Engineering General Service Regiment, during the Utah Beach Invasion. He received 4 Bronze Battle Stars and a letter of commendation from President Harry Truman. Friends will be received at Leckemby Funeral Home Meyersdale from 7-9 p.m., Sunday; and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday. The service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday with Pastor Richard Patton.
