Frank Romesberg, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Romesberg of Blackfield, died Friday, May 27, in the Memorial Hospital in Cumberland. Blood poisoning was the cause of his death. His high esteem in the community was proven when twenty of his friends went to the hospital to offer themselves for a blood transfusion to save his life. Among those who offered themselves was a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Romesberg, aged but 13 years. Frank Romesberg, Jr., is survived by his parents and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Myrtle McClintock of Berlin; Mrs. Idabelle Clark, of Akron, Ohio; Rebecca, Christina, Albert, Calvin, Virgil, Lincoln, Forrest, and Tommy, at home. The funeral was held in the Blackfield Church. It was in charge of Mills & Mickey, of Rockwood. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Minerd of Rockwood. The text was taken from Rev. 21:4. His subject was "Tears," and from it he spoke very comforting words to the parents and friends of the deceased. The floral contributions were numerous and beautiful. Among those who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Stoffer and family, of Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Free, of Cumberland, Md., and Paul Romesberg and family of Frederick, Md.
