Romesberg, 88, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Berlin, passed away Nov. 20, 1997 with his family by his, side, after an extended illness. Born April 9, 1909 in Wilson Creek, son of Milton and Emma (Weimer) Romesberg. Preceded in death by parents; wife: Edna (Bittner) Romesberg; and brothers Earl and Howard. Survived by these children: Patricia (James) Holcomb, Doris Glover, Gerald (Betty) Romesberg Jr., and Linda Adams, all of Akron, Ohio; and Bruce (Dorothy) Romesberg, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister: Minnie Thomas, Frederick, Pa. Retired coal miner, farmer, and former owner of Romeo's Sunset Grove Store and Roller Skating Rink, Berlin. Former member of Mt. Zion (Hay's) United Church of Christ. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Lamar Bender, officiating. Interment Hay's Church Cemetery.
