Born Oct. 5, 1915, in Black Township, son of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Lulu Dell (Tannehill) Romesberg. Also preceded in death by a brother Dale T. Romesberg and sister Mary Jane Critchfield. Survived by his wife, the former Ellen Loraine Ash to whom he was married 57 years; children, Clarke E. Romesberg Jr., married to the former Diann Crise of Somerset, and Mrs. Rick R. (Belinda) Henry of Ligonier; three grandchildren, Lori Ann Romesberg wife of Patrick Morin of North Quincy, Mass., Kimberly Jean Henry of Butler, Erin Jo Henry of Ligonier: one great-granddaughter, Kyrra Lynn Morin; sister, Alma Schrock of Somerset. Member of Grace United Church of Christ of Garrett. A World War II veteran Tech Sgt. U.S. Army, serving in Society Island and Guadal Canal. Lineman for Somerset Rural Electric Co-Operative, retiring in 1980 with 40 years service. Life member VFW Post 554. American Legion Post 181, Senior Citizens Club of Rockwood. He brought the first Rural Electric Line across he Youghiogheny River. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Hume where services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. J. Richard Yates officiating.
