Romesburg, 77, of Ursina, died Feb. 12, 2000, at Somerset Hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Banning, a son of the late Miles B. and Margaret (Lee) Romesburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Bradey Ray Lytle. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Maust) Romesburg: daughters Darla Lytle and husband Bud of Ursina, Donna Johnson and husband Randy of Rockwood, and Lori Betker and husband Kerry of Ursina; son Thad and wife Cinda (Griffith) Romesburg of Addison: nine grandchildren: John W. King. Don Edward King, Casey James Betker, Kelli (Lytle) Walker, Cindy (Lytle) Shafer, Marcy Lytle, Dusti Betker, and Trisha and Tasha Romesburg; three great-grand-daughters: Alison Jo Walker, Cheyenne Nicole Shafer and Taylor Lynn King; brothers Jack C. and wife Sally (Holt) Romesburg of Harnedsville and Leroy Romesburg of Clarksburg, W.Va.; sister Ruth Gogoel of Elizabeth; and nephews Brad Wiley of New Jersey and Alan and Stephen Romesburg of Ohio. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the South Pacific. A selfemployed painting contractor and a member of local Painter's Union 06, Pittsburgh, United Community Church of God, Ursina, Confluence VFW Post 7250 and Ursina American Legion Post 946. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Monday) and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where a service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Duane Riddle officiating. Interment, Ursina Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to Somerset Oncology, 314 S. Kimberly Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501. Daily American, February 14, 2000 [R873]
