JOSEPH F. ROMESBURG

  Joseph Franklin Romesburg, 47, died at his home, Meyersdale R.D., Thursday 
afternoon, Jan. 28, after an illness of a few hours.  He was born in Garrett, 
April 18, 1895, a son of Mahlon and Louise Albright Romesburg.  He had been 
engaged in the trucking business in Somerset County.
  His wife, Mrs. Stella Seibert Romesburg survives him together with eight 
children: Mrs. Marcella Hotchkiss, Meyersdale; Fay, Harold, Kathryn, Theora, 
Fred, Elsie and Glenn, at home; also four grandchildren.  The following brothers 
and sisters survive: Harry and Carl Romesburg, Canton, O.; James and Spurgeon 
Romesburg, both of Garrett; Mrs. Albert Judy of Garrett; Mrs. Albert McQuade and 
Mrs. Louis Sipe, both of Central City.
  Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m., at the home, with Rev. R. M. 
Dunkelberger, D.D., pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating.  Burial in the 
Garrett Cemetery, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician.
