Her death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. She was a daughter of the late Abraham and Mary Ann (Jones) Thomas, and was born in Allegheny Township. She is survived by the following children: Paul of Frederick, Md.; Daniel of Clarksburg, W.Va.; Theodore of Broadtop City, Pa.; Luther of Martinsburg, W.Va.; Mrs. Elaine Beck of Youngstown, Ohio, and Mrs. Hazel Benson of Thurmont, Md. She is also survived by the following brothers: William Thomas of Garrett; George Thomas of Berlin; Frank Thomas of West Salisbury; Joseph Thomas of Detroit, Mich.; John Thomas of Berlin, and by Charles Kimmel, a half-brother. When relatives of Mrs. Romesburg at West Salisbury learned of her death, it was arranged with Mortician Stanley M. Thomas of Salisbury to bring her body to his embalming rooms, where it was prepared for burial, and from thence taken to Mrs. Romesburg's late home in West Salisbury, where it reposed in state until it was taken to the Lutheran Church at Garrett, Pa., where the funeral service was held last Saturday. The service was conducted by Rev. W. W. Hall, pastor of the Garrett Evangelical Church, of which Mrs. Romesburg had been a member, and where the service would have been held, had the church edifice not been too small for the many relatives and friends who came to pay their last respects to one whom they had known and loved for years. Interment was made in the Ridge Cemetery, near Beechdale. Meyersdale Republican, July 18, 1940
