On Saturday he seemed so well on the way to recovery that his friends were very happy. Conditions were most serious when he was taken to the hospital. He had several blood transfusions and a few days later his leg was amputated. He stood the operation quite well, but a blood clot formed with fatal results. Everything was done for him that it was possible for physicians and nurses to do. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Romesburg, his wife, who was the former Emma Brock, and two little boys. At this writing funeral arrangements are not known. The obituary will be in next week's paper. Meyersdale Republican, January 2, 1941
