Romesburg, 82, Champion, died June 21, 2007, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Sand Patch, Somerset County, a son of the late Jesse Vincent and Hazel Lydia Keefer Romesburg. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Sarah Geary Romesburg; one brother, Robert Wayne Romesburg and two sisters, Mabel Endorf and Louise Stout. He is survived by his children, Gary Romesburg and wife, Lisa, Champion; William Romesburg, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Earnest Romesburg, and his companion, Tina, Stahlstown; five grandchildren, Gary Paul Jr., Lauren, Suzanne, Kayla and Ernest Romesburg Jr.; his siblings, Bruce Romesburg, Columbus, Tenn.; Evelyn Naugle, Champion; Freda "Faye" Bowman, Acme; Betty Shawley, Kecksburg; Judy Barnhart and her husband, Glenn, Champion; and Janet Shawley and her, husband, Richard M., Acme. Mr. Romesburg was a construction worker, having been a member of Union Local 1058. Early in his life, he worked as a coal miner in the Melcroft mines and he also cut timber. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II as a corporal in Burma. Paul greatly enjoyed the out-doors, especially trout fishing and hunting deer. He was Protestant by faith. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev.
