  Eleanor B. Root, 75, West Sanner Street, Somerset, died April 14,
  1993, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Jan. 28, 1918, in Rowlesburg, W.
  Va., daughter of late D. Claude and Carrie (Tanner) Bishoff.  Also
  preceded in death by brother, William Bishoff.  Survived by husband,
  Harvey J. "Mike" Root; sister, Lorraine Bush, Pittsburgh, and
  brother, George A. Bishoff, Fort Mill, S.C.; also number of nieces
  and nephews.  Member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset.
  Death ends marriage union of 56 1/2 years.  Friends received from 7 to
  9 p.m. Thursday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where funeral
  service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday.  Rev. Byron K. Myers
  officiating.  Interment, Wesley Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Salt
  Lick, Terra Alta, W. Va., at 1 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may
  be given to Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset, or Wesley
  Chapel Methodist Church, Salt Lick, Terra Alta, W.Va.
