  Harvey J. "Mike" Root, 83 of Fort Mill, S.C., formerly of Somerset,
  died Sept. 2, 1996, in Fort Mill.  He was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Texas,
  W.Va., a son of the late Thomas B. and Leola A. (Liller) Root.  He was
  preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor B. Root, April 14, 1993; a
  sister, Elda Wetzel, and one brother, Cecil Root.  Survived by a
  sister-in-law, Lorraine Bush of Pittsburgh, and a brother-in-law,
  George Bishoff of Fort Mill, S.C.  He was a member of Calvary United
  Methodist Church, Somerset.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will
  be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Harry C. Sherry officiating.
  Additional services at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Wesley Chapel Methodist
  Church Cemetery, Salt Lick, Terra Alta, W.Va.
