  ROSE
  
  Elmer E. Rose, 87, of Stoystown RD 2, died April 11, 1977, at his
  residence.  Born Feb. 5, 1890, in Elton, son of Charles and Eliza
  (Leverknight) Rose.  Preceded in death by parents, three brothers and
  three sisters.  Survived by widow, the former Alfreida Wilkie and the
  following children: Cecil C., married to the former Mary Hemric,
  North Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Beal and Mrs. Ceylon
  (Gladys) Berkebile, both of Stoystown RD 2; four grandchildren and
  seven great-granchildren.  Brother of Samuel, Windber RD 2; Benjamin,
  New Paris RD 1; Mrs. Catherine Davis, Johnstown; Mrs. Marie Snyder,
  Somerset. Attended Kantner Assembly of God Church.  Retired coal miner
  and member of UMWA.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday
  and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Thursday with
  the Rev. Donald E. Berkey officiating.  Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park.  Donations may be made to the cancer fund in lieu of
  flowers.
