(Toe) Rose, 61, of Somerset RD 5, died Sept. 3, 1984, at his residence. Born June 9, 1923, in Somerset, son of the late Edward S. and Christina (Ankney) Rose. Also preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur. Survived by wife, the former Mary Bennice; and these children: Mrs. George (Barbara) Thornton, Lighthouse Point, Fla.; Jane of Somerset; David, Clewiston, Fla. Brother of Mrs. Carl (Betty) Ely and Kenneth, both of Somerset. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, VFW and American Legion Post 181 and was board secretary. Veteran of World War II. Retiree of the General Telephone Company with 31 years of service. Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the. Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Samuel Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
