"Pete" Rose, 65, of Schellsburg RD 1, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1993, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 4, 1928, in Somerset County. Son of the late Daniel A. and Ruth (Weyant) Rose. Also preceded in death by brothers Raymond, Forrest, Ray, Kenneth and Glenn. Survived by former wife, Laura Pauline (Boozer); sons John A., married to the former Jacqueline Barefoot, Schellsburg RD 1, and Harry J., married to the former Sydney Clark, Schellsburg RD 1; daughter Gail Manges, Schellsburg RD 1; sisters Janet Kinsey of Schellsburg RD 1 and Carol Diehl, Orange, Va. Seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Laborer for the former Watson Wood Products Company of Manns Choice. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating.
