  Howard Rose, 65, Boswell RD 1, formerly of Elton, died May 8, 1980,
  at Memorial Hospital.  Born Sept. 8, 1914, in Elton, son of Hiram and
  Olive (Geyer) Rose.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Harry Lee;
  and sisters, Lovina and Freda.  Survived by widow, former Freda G.
  Crum; and these children: Howard G., married to former Dorothy
  Miller; Ray, married to former Sue Horner; Clair, married to former
  Carole Kimmel; Kenneth, married to former Nancy King; Dale, married
  to former Judith Reinholtz; and Robert, all of Boswell RD 1; and
  Darlene, Charleston, W. Va.; also 10 grandchildren.  Brother of Earl,
  Bedford; Clarence, Elton; and Dewey.  Retired from Bethlehem Steel
  Corp. after 29 years service.  Retired farmer. Celebrated 45th wedding
  anniversary April 9.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Friday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Homer J. George
  Funeral Home, Salix, where service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday,
  the Rev. Jesse E. Wolf.  Interment, Dunmire Cemetery.
