Rose, 56, Ankeny Avenue, Somerset, died Feb. 27, 1985, at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. Born Feb. 10, 1929, in Somerset, son of the late Edward S. and Christine (Ankeny) Rose. Also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy, and two brothers: Wilbur and Glenn. Brother of Mrs. Carl (Betty) Ely, Somerset. Member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion. Veteran of World War II and a retiree of Somerset Post Office. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where private funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Percy Ellenberger officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
