  Mary Ellen Rose, 76, of Sewickley and formerly of Somerset, died Oct.
  14, 2001 at Pristines Pines Nursing Home, Sewickley.  Born Nov. 29,
  1924 in Jenner Township.  Daughter of Diego "Dick" and Mary Ann
  (Pelliccione) Bennice.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Glenn
  Eugene "Toe" Rose who died Sept. 3, 1984; brother James Bennice.
  Survived by children: Mrs. George D. (Barbara) Thornton of Lake
  Worth, Fla.; David E. Rose, married to the former Barbara Jacobs of
  Oviedo, Fla.; and Mrs. Richard L. (Jane) Adams of Pittsburgh;
  grandchildren, Simone and Jeffery Thornton of Lake Worth, Fla.;
  Zachary and Jordan Adams and Brandon and Brett Adams of Pittsburgh.
  Sister of Mrs. Josephine Naylor of Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Ida Falk
  of La Mirada, Calif.  Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  A 1942
  graduate of Somerset High School. Ladies Golf League at Middlecreek
  Golf Course.  Legal secretary for Fike, Cascio and Boose, retiring in
  1992 with 42 years.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm
  Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be
  conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic, Somerset,
  with the Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant.  Committal,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.  Vigil for the deceased at 8:45 p.m.
  Tuesday at the funeral home.  Contributions may be sent to Somerset
  "In-Touch" Hospice 1590 North Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
