  ROSE
  
  Russell J. Rose, 70, of Somerset RD 2, died March 2. 1976 at his
  residence.  Born Oct. 11, 1905 in Somerset County, a son of the late
  Alexander and Annie Metzler Rose.  Also preceded in death by a son
  Robert, three brothers and six sisters.  Survived by his wife, the
  former Blanche Sanner; a son Alvin of Boston, Mass.; five
  grandchldren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. James (Leota)
  Gettings of Bristol.  A member of Grace United Methodist Church, he
  was retired from the Somerset Door and Column Co.  Friends received
  after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where
  services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Charles
  Rummel officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
