He was born Feb. 23, 1906, in Conemaugh, son of George and Regina (Hornick ) Rosenbaum. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Rita Beiter, who died July 25, 1987; brothers: Bernard, Raymond and Robert; sisters: Clementine and Georgine. Survived by these children: George, married to the former Madelyn Milano of Clinton, Conn.; Bernard, married to the former Patricia Kohan of Seabrook, Texas; John, married to the former Grace Schoedel of Zelienople; David, married to the former Cathryn Amigh of Johnstown; Janet, wife of William Grimlich, Stoystown RD 2; Agnes, wife of Joseph Nossek of Pittsburgh; Norbert, married to the former JoAnnette Ware, Stoystown RD 2; Lambert, married to the former Barbara Fogle of Butler; Lucy, wife of Edward McDowell of Indiana; Luke, married to the former Jill Cyga and Karl, married to the former Mary Ann Swasy, both of Stoystown RD 2; Mary, wife of Patrick Geyer of Metamora, Mich.; Chris of Clawson, Mich.; also Agnes (Lintner) Rosenbaum of Hooversville; and 41 grandchildren. Brother of Josephine Freidhoff and James, both of Conemaugh; Elizabeth Freidhoff and Mrs. Joseph (Victoria) Comiskey, both of Johnstown; Anna Emmerling and Mrs. William (Bernadine) Temple, both of Salinas, Calif. He began his career as a carpenter with Houck Builders, Johnstown. In 1945, purchased farm in Stoystown where Leo and Rita lived and raised their 13 children while building a profitable dairy farm operation. He was active in community and farm organizations. Former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Harold N. Biller officiating. Interment, Holy Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where Wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
