About 11 o'clock a party of four, two young men and two girls, Richard McKenzie, Fred McKenzie, Agnes Rosenberger and Ethel Walsh, all living in the vicinity of Johnson's, decided to go to Frostburg. On the east side of Big Savage Mountain, a mile west of Frostburg, they attempted to pass another car going in the same direction while travelling at a rather rapid speed, with the result that the car left the road and landed in the yard of the residence of Harry Larue, after turning over twice. Richard McKenzie was thrown 35 feet from the car and was fatally injured. Fred McKenzie was pinned beneath the car and fatally injured. Miss Rosenberger was thrown a short distance and was fatally injured. Miss Walsh escaped with minor injuries. The car was a total wreck. All the injured were removed to the Miners' Hospital, Frostburg. Miss Walsh was later taken to her home. The other members of the party have since died. Miss Rosenberger, aged 18, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rosenberger, and Fred McKenzie, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Noah McKenzie, succumbed on November 3rd. Richard McKenzie, aged 24, died October 29th. Funeral services for him were held at Avilton on Monday morning. He is survived by his parents and two brothers and three sisters.
