  Cletus E. "Bucky" Ross, 81, of Central City RD 1, died March 11,
  l988, at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born May l9, 1906, in
  Stonycreek Township, son of William F. and Susan (Berkey) Ross.
  Preceded in death by parents, brother Tydus, sister Carrie Duppstadt
  and stepdaughter Betty Jane Oaks.  Survived by his wife, the former
  Margaret Hoover; sister Katie Duppstadt of Buckstown; and these
  stepchildren: Robert Oaks of Jerome, Joanne Matse of Boswell, Terry
  Oaks of Hollsopple, Billie Sue Zapotosky of Central City RD 1 and
  Jack Oaks of Cairnbrook.  Retired coal miner and lumberman.  Member of
  Central City Christian Church. Last surviving son of a Civil War
  veteran in Somerset County.  Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m.
  Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Evangelist
  Eric Smith officiating.  Interment, Glade Union Cemetery.
