Born Jan. 28, 1931, in Boynton, he is the son of the late Abraham L. and Nora Ellen (Durst) Ross. Mr. Ross is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Victoria, and one sister, Anna Mae Hemming. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann (Yutzy) Ross; one son, Stephen E. Ross and wife, Susan, Boynton; three daughters, Cynthia Crosby and husband, Ray, Lisa Reckner and husband, Bill, and Nicole Mort and husband, Charles, all of Boynton; one brother, Kenneth Ross, Somerset; seven grandchildren, Toni and Wesley, Amber and David, Billy, Matthew, Cassie and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Ross was a packer for the Pittsburgh Knipple Works for more than 39 years. He was a member of the American Bowling Congress, Somerset County Old Timers Baseball Association, and Elk Lick Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Ross was also a member of the World Lighthouse Worship Center, Grantsville, Md. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., where a service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. DeWayne Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the World Lighthouse Worship Center.
