  ROSS, Ruth B. 08/03/07  Daily American
  
   Ruth B. Ross, 86, Friedens, died Aug. 1, 2007, at Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin.
  Born Sept. 10, 1920, in Wellscreek, the daughter of Bert C. and Nettie M. (Letcher)
  Bowers. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Sheldon, who died April 2006, ending a
  marriage union of 64 years; an infant son in 1950; brothers, Donald and J. William
  Bowers; and sister, Sarah Hill. Survived by children, William, married to the former
  Doris Blough, Pittstown, N.J.; Betsy married to Jack Pensiero, Somerset; John, married to
  the former Carol Piegdon, Berlin, Md.; grandchildren, Amy (Mike) Levan, Scott Ross, Chad
  (Melissa) and Julie (John Koltay) Pensiero, Jill (Mike) Haer and Michael and Jessica
  Ross; great-grandson, Nolan Haer; sister, Etta Jane Ditto; sisters-in-law, Ruth Bowers
  and Mary Ellen (Ross) Meanor. Also survived by special nephew, Tom Hill, Listie. Ruth was
  a graduate of Somerset Township High School and attended the Cumberland School of Nursing.
  She was an LPN at Somerset Hospital and also did private duty nursing. She was a founding
  member of the Friedens Mothers Club and a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. She enjoyed
  knitting, making hundreds of Christmas stockings. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Friedens Lutheran Church, where a service will be held at 3
  p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Edward DeVore officiating. Interment Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
  Memorial contributions may be given to Friedens Lutheran Church, 131 S. Main St.,
  Friedens, PA 15541. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
