   Sheldon B. "Sheddy" Ross, 84, Friedens, died April 29, 2006 at The Patriot. Born July
  28, 1921, in Friedens, son of WIlliam and Mildred (Barnhart) Ross. Preceded is death by
  parents and an infant son. Survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Ruth Bowers;
  children, William, married to the former Doris Blough of Pittstown, N.J., Betsy, married
  to Jack Pensiero of Somerset and John, married to the former Carol Piegdon of Berlin,
  Md.; grandchildren, Amy Levan, Scott Ross, Chad and Julie Pensiero, Jill Haer, and
  Michael and Jessica Ross; grandson Nolan Haer; and sister, Mary Ellen Meanor of Franklin.
  A 1939 graduate of Somerset Township High School and a World War II Army Air Force veteran
  in the 466th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force. Retired from Exxon-Pa. Turnpike,
  Somerset. A member of the Friedens Lutheran Church and Green Leaf Hunting Camp. Family
  will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown. Viewing from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Friedens Lutheran
  Church. The Rev. Edward V. DeVore officiating. Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery. In
  lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association, 100 W. Station
  Square Dr., The Landmarks Building-Suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
