He was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Florence (Suid) Roth. He is survived by his wife Anita of Somerset, to whom he was married 48 years, a son David and wife Barbara of Somerset, daughter Ellen and husband Gary Dubrava of Parma, Ohio, grandsons David and Nicolas Roth of Somerset, Mark Kaszak of Parma, Ohio, brothers Dr. Burton Roth and wife Natalie of Chicago, Ill. and Dr. Ronald Roth and wife Sandy of Youngstown, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews and also his best companion Evander and many other special friends too numerous to mention. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and father-in-law. Sanford was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was most notably known as owner and operator of Winky's Restaurant (Mr. Winky) in Uniontown. He was a member of Tree of Life Synagogue, Uniontown, Past President of B'Nai Brith, Past President of the Uniontown Jewish Community Center and Past President of Z.O.A. of Western Pennsylvania. He was a proud long time member of the Masonic Lodges and Jewish War Vets and was very active in many civic organizations. Funeral service will be conducted in the J. Harry Johnston Funeral Home, 67 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Sunday at 11 a.m. Perry Haalman officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Beth Shalom Cemetery, Millvale, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tree of Life Synagogue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. 15401 or Uniontown Jewish Community Center, 406 W.
