Born Dec. 18, 1889 in Peproce, Czechoslovakia son of Michael and Ilona Rovnyak. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Bator and these children: Mrs. Samuel (Veronica) Pochatex of New York, N.Y.; Steven of Listie; Mrs. Charkes (Marie) Yonish of Detroit Mioh.; Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Simonson of Long Island, N.Y.; Joseph of Uniondale, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three sons, two daughters and six brothers. He was a member of St. Miohael's Catholic Church, Listie; National Slovak Society, Pittsburgh and UMWA Local 1742. Friends are being received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Requiem Mass Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Churoh with the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli with wake servioe 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment Listie Cemetery. Somerset Bulletin, April 29, 1974 [R1030]
