  Olga J. Rowan, 89, Somerset, died Sept. 18, 2005, at Somerset Hospital. Born
  Nov. 2, 1915, in Scranton, a daughter of Michael and Anna (Mychaleshyn)
  Sawczuk. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Victor Rowan; and brother, Leon
  Sawzik. Survived by nieces, Christine Langton, Aiken, S.C.; and Patricia Sawzik,
  Pittsburgh. From 1936 to 1966, Mrs. Rowan taught elementary school in several
  Somerset County and Garrett County, Md. schools. From 1966 to 1980, she was
  employed as a speech therapist with the IU8. She was a graduate of the
  University of Pittsburgh with bachelor's and master of science degrees in
  education. She also held a master of science degree in speech pathology from
  California State University of Pennsylvania. A lifetime member of the Humane
  Society. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Contributions
  may be made to the Somerset County Humane Society, P.O. Box 182, Somerset, PA
  15501 or Somerset County Library, 6022 Glades Pike, Suite 120, Somerset, PA
  15501 in memory of Mrs. Rowan. Arrangements by Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.

  Olga J. Rowan, 89, Somerset, died Sept. 18, 2005. A memorial service will be
  conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.

  receive friends at the Georgian Place Bed & Breakfast.
