Rowe, Jr., died at her home on Drexel Road, Philadelphia, Monday, April 19, after a siege of illness. She is survived by her husband, and three children, Lt. (j. g.) Frederick E. Rowe, III, U.S.N.R., now located at Miami, Fla.; Patricia, 15, and Joseph, 13, at home; also four brothers, John J. McDevitt, Jr., Judge Harry S. McDevitt, and Joseph McDevitt, (Mrs. Rowe's twin brother), of Philadelphia, and George A. McDevitt of New York. Mass was held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Overbrook, Wednesday morning, followed by interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery. The niece of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Philson, Meyersdale, Mrs. Rowe visited in Meyersdale frequently during her girlhood. When she became the bride of Fred Rowe Jr., who was at that time in the coal business with his father and brothers, the couple established their first home in Meyersdale, moving to Philadelphia some years later.
