All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ PETER ROWE Peter Rowe, son of the late John and Frances Rowe, died at his home, 422 Ohio Street, Lorain Borough, Johnstown, at noon on Monday, February 8th, at the age of 67 years, from a complication of diseases incident to a severe accident he sustained about four years ago in a mine in Johnstown. Mr. Rowe was born in England and came to this country with his parents at the age of six and lived for many years in Meyersdale. In 1897 he was united in marriage with Anna Albright who with one daughter, Miss Frances Rowe, survives him. A son died in infancy. Mr. Rowe is also survived by these brothers and sisters: Fred Rowe and Mrs. John Finnegan, of Meyersdale; William, John and Matthew Rowe, Mrs. Jack Thirkel, Mrs. Frank Beynon and Mrs. George Siehl, all of Johnstown. On Monday afternoon Undertaker J. L. Tressler brought the body to Meyersdale to the home of Melvin Albright, brother of Mrs. Rowe. Funeral services were conducted at the Albright home at 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon by the pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. W. T. Robinson, followed by burial in Union Cemetery. Three members of the Odd Fellows Lodge and three members of the Moose Lodge acted as pallbearers. Mr. Rowe was a member of both of these lodges. Meyersdale Republican, February 11, 1932
