WILLIAM ROWE

  William Rowe, aged 84, died at his home, Cannon Street, Johnstown, at 3 a.m., 
April 20.
  He was born August 13, 1863, in Dans Castle, England, a son of John and 
Frances (James) Rowe.  
  Surviving are his wife, the former Laura Burnside, and nine children: William 
E. and John L., Roseville, Cal.; Emily L. Rowe of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Lulu Coven 
of Coal Center, Pa.; Theodore R. of Berrien Springs, Mich.; Mrs. Ella A. 
Shaffer, Charles L., Mrs. Laura B. Miller and Lawrence H. Rowe, all of 
Johnstown; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-
grandchildren.  A brother, Matthew Rowe of Johnstown, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah 
Finegan of Meyersdale, also survive.
  Friends are being received at the John Henderson Mortuary, Johnstown, where 
services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, by Rev. Clayton C. Adkins.  
Interment will be made in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
