  ROWLAND, Edith Alberta  06/28/08  Daily American
  
    Edith Alberta Rowland, 92, Aspen Lane, Huntingdon, died at 6:40 p.m., June 25, 2008, at
  J.C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Oct. 27, 1915, in Quemahoning Township, she was the
  daughter of the late Leighton and Edith (Jones) Rowland. Rowland was preceded in death by
  four sisters and one infant brother. She was a member of the National Christian Church,
  Washington, D.C. A graduate of Hooversville High School, Ms. Rowland moved to Washington,
  D.C., and spent most of her life in the metro area. She enjoyed traveling extensively all
  over the world. Rowland retired from Western Union with 43 years service. A memorial
  service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at "The Commons" at Westminster Woods,
  Huntingdon, with the Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Interment will be made in the POS
  of A Cemetery, Hooversville. Arrangements are by the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home,
  Orbisonia.
