Born June 23, 1919, in Union Springs, Ala., daughter of the late James T. and Elizabeth (Miller) Norman. Preceded in death by husband, William Wilson Roy, who died June 7, 1981; one daughter, Ann Elizabeth Roy; one sister, Jessie Hope, and one brother, James Norman. Survived by children: Charles N. Roy, married to the former Joyce Alwine, Camp Hill, and Margaret J. "Peggy" Roy, Somerset RD 6; also grandchildren -- Jeremy, Matthew and Courtney Roy. Sister of Mrs. Elmer (Elizabeth) Puchta of Pittsburgh. Retired case worker-supervisor for Department of Public Assistance. She was a sergeant in U.S. Army Air Corps, War War II. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, and Somerset Welfare League. Board member of Salvation Army. Member of China-Burma-India Veterans Association. She was a Minority Inspector for Somerset Borough Northwest Board of Elections. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rev. Glenn E. Sadler officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
