Rugg, 77, of Somerset, formerly of Rockwood, passed away July 4, 2000, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born Oct. 18, 1922, in Somerset, daughter of Peter and Jennie (Phillippi) Rugg. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Esther Rugg. Survived by daughter, Marian Martin (and Lloyd), Stoystown; and son, Barry, married to Phyllis Rugg, Stoystown. Sister of Louise Scarlet of Connellsville; Opal, married to Oscar Harbaugh of Somerset; Nellie, married to Peter Faix of McKeesport; Dolly Limley of McKeesport; Shirley, married to Ray Brubaker, Hollsopple; and Robert, married to Debbie Rugg of Denver, Colo. Also survived by seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Retired employee of Specht Plastic and a cook for Siemon's Nursing Home and the former L&N Restaurant. Attended the Rockwood Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received from 12 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor James Vandervort officiating. Interment, Mount Zion Cemetery, Markleton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 1011 Old Salem Road, Greeensburg, Pa., 15601.
