  Virginia E. Rugg, 59, Nemacolin, formerly of Confluence, died Jan. 9,
  1993, at West Virginia University Hospital, Morgantown.  Born Feb. 15,
  1933, in Fairchance, daughter of late Pierpont and Della M. (Frye)
  Smith.  Survived by husband, Herbert, and two daughters: Bertha
  Lancaster, Confluence, and Betty Hartman, Wilmington, Del.; two sons:
  Herbert, Fort Hill, and John William, Carmichaels; 11 grandchildren, 4
  greatgrandchildren and sister, Opal Darnell, East Liverpool, Ohio.
  Preceded in death by a son, Terry.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  today and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence, where services will be held at 11 am. Wednesday, with
  Rev. Thomas Charles officiating.  Interment, Maple Summit Cemetery.
