He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Rumgay, former residents of Meyersdale. While living in Meyersdale, Mr. Rumgay was employed as a fireman on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad which work he continued after locating in Oregon. However, for the past several years he had been employed as an engineer on the fast passenger trains running out of Oregon City. He also owned and operated a large and prosperous dairy. Surviving are his wife, Maude (Jenkin) Rumgay, formerly of Meyersdale, three sons, Lamont, Thomas and Keith, and one daughter, Zydthe, all living in Oregon, and three grandchildren. Two brothers, Andrew J., of Meyersdale and Wilfred of Portland, Oregon, also survive. Funeral services were conducted in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday, May 6. Meyersdale Republican, May 7, 1942
