Born Jan. 25, 1926, in Accident, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Arletta (Burkhardt) Bowser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin C. Rush, May 18, 1987, and two brothers, Albert Bowser and Elwood Bowser. She is survived by two sons: Craig Rush, South Portland, Maine, and Norris Rush, Accident; three daughters: Beverly Stone, Annapolis, Md., Linda Price, Sykesville, Md., and Nancy Berkebile, Accident; one brother, Glenn Bowser, Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Alverta Rush and Norma Bernard, both of Oakland; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rush was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, charter member of the Northern Garret County Rescue Squad past chairman of the Salvation Army, a member of the Garrett County Farm Bureau and the Deer Park VFW Auxiliary. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes Inc. in McHenry. Md. Sept. 13. Funeral services were conducted at the funeral home Sept. 14 with the Rev. Dr Wilfred E. Karsten officiating.
