Rush, 92, Markleton, went to be with our Lord Sept. 30, 2004. He was born Feb. 2, 1912, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of the late Lee and Minnie (Romesburg) Rush. Was preceded in death by parents, a son Guy E. Rush, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Velma (Livengood) Rush; daughters Lois, married to Fred Darr, Somerset; Faye, married to Royal Knepper, Markleton; and Nancy, married to Jerry Brocht, Wheeling, W.Va.; and a daughter-in-law Barbara (Mincek) Rush, Somerset; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was employed for 40 years with General Refractories Clay Mines in Fort Hill. He enjoyed his family farm and was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was also a member and served as a trustee of the Fort Hill Church of God. Friends will be received 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. The Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice. 10/01/2004 Daily American
