  THOMAS O. RUSH 
  
  Thomas C. Rush, 55, of Confluence, died unexpectedly May 14, 1975, at
  his home.  Born May 28, 1919, in Ursina, he was a son of the late Scott
  and Mayme (Courtney) Rush.  He is survived by his wife, the former Reba
  Firestone, and three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Close, Somerset; Mrs.
  Garnet Dennis, Markleysburg; and Mrs. Bernice Snyder, Confluence;
  also seven grandchildren and four sisters; Mrs. Dorothy St. Clair and
  Mrs. Alyce Roberts, both of Confluence; Mrs. Sarah Fix, Mercersburg;
  and Mrs. Loise Stark of Arlington, Va.  He was preceded in death by a
  brother, Robert.  Mr. Rush was a member of Confluence Methodist
  Church, Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association and Confluence VFW.  He
  was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater
  of Operations.  Funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon in
  Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, with Rev. Arthur Gotjen
  officiating.  Interment in Jersey Cemetery.
