  RUSH, Velma Gertrude (Livengood) 07/29/07  Daily American
  
    Velma Gertrude (Livengood) Rush, 93, Wheeling,W.Va., formerly of Kingwood, passed
  away July 28,2007 at her home. Born Sept. 6, 1913, a daughter of Lewis and Myrtle
  (Schweitzer) Livengood. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 75 years, Ray C. Rush;
  son, Guy Rush and great-grandson, Donnie Soberdash. Survived by daughters, Lois Darr,
  widow of Fred Darr, Somerset; Faye Knepper and husband, Royal, Kingwood; Nancy Brocht and
  husband, Jerry, Wheeling W.Va.; and daughter-in-law, Barbara (Mincek) Rush, Somerset; 17
  grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife
  and mother, who loved gardening and making quilts for the entire family. Mrs. Rush was
  live-long member of the Church of God. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
  at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
  The Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
