  Clarence Burton Russell, 79, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., formerly of
  Somerset, died June 17, 1996, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center,
  West Palm Beach, Fla.  Born March 27, 1917 in Birmingham, Ala., son of
  John and Margaret (Morris) Russell.  Preceded in death by pareents, one
  brother, John Russell, and one sister, Ruth Crawford.  Survived by his
  wife Phylis Lorene (Sevits) Whetstone-Russell, children: Barry L.
  Russell, Fort Collins, Colo., grandson, Barry Russell, Jr.  A pilot
  with the rank of Major in the U.S. Air Force retiring in 1962. Sales
  representative for A.A.A. of Pompano Beach, Fla. from 1962 to 1982.
  Member of VFW Post #554 and Disabled American Veterans.  Friends will
  be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home where services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, with the
  Rev. Russell B. Kessler officiating.  Interment, Pike Cemetery,
  Brotherton.  Military graveside rites will be accorded by the U.S. Air
  Force Ceremonial Team from Washington, D.C.
