WILLIAM H. RUTTER

  William H. Rutter, former resident of Meyersdale, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 
16, in Miami, Fla., where he has been living retired for several years.  He was 
about 70 years of age, and was the son of the late M. A. Rutter, a former post 
master of Meyersdale, and well known businessman here for many years.  He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Lelia (Slicer) Rutter, a sister of James B. Slicer of 
Meyersdale; one daughter, Mrs. Lee Rodgers, and a grandchild in Miami, Fla.  
Another daughter, Nelle, died several years ago in Miami.
  Mr. Rutter was head of the Somerset Telephone Company in Meyersdale, and later 
in Somerset.  From the latter place he and his family moved to Martinsburg, 
W.Va., where he conducted a successful business for a number of years, before 
going to Florida.
  Funeral services and burial were held in Miami.
