  RYAN
  
  Ethel M. Ryan, 83, of Berlin, formerly of Somerset, died April 18,
  2000 at Somerset Hospital.  Born July 9, 1916 in Shanksville, she is
  the daughter of the late George and Lily M. (Ringler) Walker.  Also
  preceded in death by husband James H. Ryan, daughter Linda K. Ryan
  and sister Myrtle Friedline.  Survived by children; Doran Walker,
  married to the former Suzanne Landis of Berlin, Mary Alice Ryan,
  Somerset; James H. Ryan Jr., married to the former Diane Hollenshead
  of Dewey, Ariz., Mrs. William (Karen) Bingman of Frostburg, Md., and
  Terry Ryan, married to the former Jane Leister of Hollidaysburg.
  Thirteen grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Rosiland
  Harkcom of Berlin.  Member of Trinity Evangelical Church of Somerset
  and the American War Mothers.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services
  will be held at 11 am Thursday, Rev. Robert L. Hoovers Jr.
  officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery.
