The Somerset Herald Wed May 29  1895
Mr. J. H. H. Shaffer, aged about 34 years, died at 11 o'clock Saturday night at
his home just south of town, from pneumonia. He is survived by his wife and four
children. The deceased removed to this county from Bedford, where his parents
still reside. He was a member of the local lodge Knights of the Golden Eagle,
and members of that organization officiated at the funeral Monday afternoon.
